Rebecca is quite exceptional for her age: she’s Gen Z and she’s got a job! She just got hired by the River Fields Funeral Home. It’s a cushy night job. All she has to do is embalm corpses. So, there isn’t much small talk going on, but things are quiet at least. Until the night she unwittingly discovers that her new boss forgot to mention the “demonic possessions and rituals” clause in her contract. So, things are about to get significantly less quiet… Gamers have already guessed it. This is the movie adaptation of one of the scariest video games ever made. So, if you’re a fan of puzzles, jump scares, embalming fluid, and spontaneous heart attacks, you’re in for a treat. Especially since Brian Clarke, the game’s creator himself, co-wrote the screenplay!
