Poster 2025 – Milo MANARA

The BIFFF received an invaluable gift for the poster of our 43rd edition: a previously unpublished drawing by… Milo Manara! The illustrious THE SWITCH may have made him the undisputed master of erotic comics, but it is above all his unconditional love of art and his insatiable curiosity that have made Manara a true legend of the ninth art. His now legendary collaborations – with Hugo Pratt, Federico Fellini, Alejandro Jodorowsky and Pedro Almodóvar, amongst others – have produced creations as versatile as they are rich.

Winner of the Grand Prix Saint-Michel in 2016, the year after our buddy Walthéry, and subject of an impressive number of exhibitions, but even today there’s no sign his stamina is waning. After his sublime diptych devoted to Caravaggio, a collaboration with Marvel for a female version of well-known superheroes (in this case, the X-Women), and his impressive adaptation of Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, Milo still finds time to do us a big favor. And that, as we said earlier, is priceless….
