Melvil Poupaud began his career at the age of 10 in LA VIE DES PIRATES. He was twice nominated for the César Award for Most Promising Actor. The first film he directed, Melvil, won the Caméra d’or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. In 2023, he appeared in L’AMOUR ET LES FORÊTS alongside Virginie Efira. This film was presented in the Cannes Première section of the 2023 Festival. He starred in MARCELLO MIO, Christophe Honoré’s film that was released in May 2024 and selected for the Official Competition at the 77th Cannes Film Festival.
