In 1999, Takahiro Otsuki founded the Tollywood cinema in Tokyo, and in 2003 he took over the Pole Pole in Higashi‑Nakano. After studying film production in the United States, he has produced numerous Japanese independent films while managing both theaters. His productions include UTOPIA and YOU ARE THE FILM. He also produced BEYOND THE INFINITE TWO MINUTES and RIVER, both directed by Junta Yamaguchi, which respectively received the White Raven Award (BIFFF 2021) and the Press Award, the White Raven Award, and the Audience Award (BIFFF 2024).
