Paul Urkijo

Since childhood, Paul Urkijo has been fascinated by drawing, history and mythology. He is a Basque director and screenwriter, as well as the singer of the metal band Hortzak. In 2017, he released his first feature film, ERREMENTARI, which premiered at the Sitges Fantastic Film Festival. IRATI followed in 2022, an epic shot in ancient Basque and nominated five times at the Goya Awards. His films, which he both writes and directs, have won over 100 awards and received more than 400 international selections.
