We could make the effort to scribble down a mouth-watering description of this film ourselves, but when we read the official pitch, we couldn’t resist just copying it blindly: “In 1957, the sleepy town of Marlow is attacked by – (see title)”. But underneath the cardboard surface held together by spit and visible strings, lies a brilliant parody of and loving homage to 50’s horror flicks and creature features. Michael Stasko knows his classics inside out, from PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE to YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, and has a blast spoofing them, spilling gallons of blood in the process. To add to the fun, there’s also lots of cameo’s to be spotted – from Judith O’Dea to our very own Count Lloyd Kaufman!
