Joy and William live perfectly content at the “Our Friends” campus, a secluded community paradise that is stable, safe and free of illnesses (hey, that’s what the brochure says!). One Vitamin a day keeps the doctor away and helps keep everyone content. Not overjoyed, not sad, not irritable. Content. Until one day at a medical check-up, tumors are found running up Joy’s spine which will kill her in about a month. Luckily, Our Friends provide a cure but for it to work she’ll have to stop taking the Vitamin for one single day. And, suddenly, all sorts of disorienting feelings start gushing out of her. Not content, but bored. Confused. Curious. Aroused! By William in the shower, who reluctantly goes along with Joy’s weird experiments with their bodies.
