Daphne and Darcy Davenport, the famous – well, “influential” would be more accurate – avant-garde musicians that have set the early 70’s electronic experimental scene ablaze – or, more accurately, made quite a few hipsters stroke their goaties in approval – are now in a bit of a dry spell. So, they trade in London for a cottage in Wales hoping it’ll get their creative juices flowing again. While scouting in the hills, Darcy makes a field recording of a sound he’s never heard before, which Daphne digs a lot and starts tinkering with. By doing so, she seems to disturb and awaken something mystical within the fabric of the woodlands, which doesn’t take kindly to a couple of ignorant city-dwellers… Sink into the otherworldly sound design and visuals of this supreme folk horror gem, alongside Dev “MONKEY MAN” Patel.
