Unemployed single mom Max has been a convinced robophobe ever since one of those damn Walmart Wall-E’s stole her job as a schoolteacher… Because yes, in this a-little-too-nearby future robots are everywhere, coming in as many different shapes and colors as your wallet can manage. So, together with her daughter, she decides to take revenge by stealing a robot and selling it as spare parts on the black market. But, of course, nothing will go according to plan… Et voilà, here comes a French sci-fi dramedy starring world star – at least, if you ask a Frenchie – Blanche Gardin, injecting her characteristic deadpan sense of humor into what is already THE feel-good movie of this year’s edition!
