Ook dit jaar valt Halloween enkele dagen vroeger, met dank aan een onheilige alliantie tussen het <strong>Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) <\/strong>en de <strong>gemeente Vorst<\/strong>. Zij organiseren op <strong>vrijdag 24 oktober<\/strong> een filmvertoning in <strong>Centre Jules Verne<\/strong>, in een vorig bestaan wijkbioscoop De Roma.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Klokslag 18 uur<\/strong> kan je er terecht voor een drankje en een hapje. Een sakeproeverij door <strong>Land of Sake<\/strong> brengt je alvast in de gepaste sfeer. En laat je vooral niet afschrikken door de vreemde figuren die zich misschien aan de ingang ophouden!  <\/p>\n<p><em>Het evenement is gratis, maar reserveren is aangewezen want plaatsen zijn beperkt! <\/em><\/p>\n<p><u>Over de film<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Zei daar iemand \u201czombies\u201d? Jawel, de avond staat in het teken van onze favoriete schokkerig bewegende ondoden met een sterke culinaire voorkeur voor menselijke hersens\u2026 <\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cOne Cut of the Dead\u201d<\/strong> is een Japanse zombieprent film uit 2017 waar je moeilijk een introductie over kan schrijven, omdat je onmiddellijk over de spoilers struikelt. Het begint met een filmploeg die een zombiefilm draait in een verlaten laboratorium waar het Japanse leger ooit nog duistere experimenten heeft uitgevoerd op onfortuinlijke medemensen. De acteurs bakken er niets van, en de regisseur loopt met de handen in het haar weg van de set. Even later klinkt het gekreun en gegil op miraculeuze wijze al stukken overtuigender, en ook de zombies zien er levensecht (nou ja) uit. Dolblij spoort de opgeluchte regisseur de crew aan om vooral door te doen, want het ziet er allemaal zo \u00e9cht uit!    <\/p>\n<p>Ik hoor hier en daar al iemand zuchten \u201cOh neen, een film in een film \u2013 hoe meta moet het worden?\u201d Vrees niet! \u2013 regisseur Shinochiro Ueda zet je in zijn bejubelde debuut op meesterlijke wijze op het verkeerde been door te goochelen met versleten clich\u00e9s en verrassende wendingen.
