OPENING ACT | Le Rythme des Fourmis is een collectief van trommelaars op blikjes dat al 25 jaar actief is. Deze percussionisten en drummers, ge\u00efnspireerd door Stomp, Blue Men Group, Mayumana, Les Tambours du Burundi, Doudou N’Diaye Rose, maar vooral door hun Franse neven Les Tambours du Bronx (respect), treden al een kwart eeuw lang met dezelfde energie en hetzelfde enthousiasme op tijdens feesten, demonstraties en festivals.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>04\/04 : Le monstre de Frankenstein<\/span><\/b><\/h2><\/div>\n\n

Franky leeft! Onze extravagante gekke wetenschapper is erin geslaagd hem tot leven te wekken. Maar er is iets mis met zijn hoofd. Zijn hersenen zijn verouderd en er zitten wormen in. De kinderen worden uitgenodigd om ze te verwijderen. Alles wat zich in zijn schedel bevindt, is eetbaar, zelfs als het walgelijk is.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>05\/04 : Surprise Demo !<\/span><\/b><\/h2><\/div>\n\n

As a regular fixture at the festival, the Squid Lab team returns to the BIFFF for a fascinating and monstrous SFX makeup demonstration.
This special effects workshop, led by Erwan Simon and Daphn\u00e9e Beaulieux, will reveal the live secrets of cinematic transformation through costumes, makeup, and prosthetics, keeping with the festival’s purest traditions.
Both artists have worked on cult genre films, including the visual trip Mandy, the horror hit Yummy, and the French shocker Inside (\u00c0 l’int\u00e9rieur). More recently, they contributed to the wild film The Belgian Wave, directed by festival regular J\u00e9r\u00f4me Vandewattyne.
We won\u2019t say anything more\u2014it\u2019s a surprise!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Getalenteerde artiesten toveren hun modellen voor je verbaasde ogen om tot levende kunstwerken. Ervaar de opwinding van het zien hoe elke penseelstreek tot leven komt en naadloos overgaat in dit fantastische menselijke canvas! Deze metamorfose zal bovendien uitmonden in een demonstratie op ons \u201cHappenings\u201d podium, met vurige optredens en opwindende energie. <\/b>14 & 16\/04 : Bavar le passeur d'histoires<\/span><\/b><\/h2><\/div>\n\n

Bavar, de verhalenverteller, is een grappige kerel die je meeneemt in de mooiste verhalen! Zijn het verzonnen verhalen of waargebeurde verhalen? Niemand weet het. Wat wel zeker is, is dat hij als geen ander sprookjes, clownerie, improvisatie en interactie weet te combineren, tot groot genoegen van jong en oud. Dit jaar keert hij terug naar het Bifff en is hij vastbesloten om de jongere generatie enkele van de oudste codes van het Bifff bij te brengen, en hen een legende te vertellen die rechtstreeks uit de donkere en mysterieuze Ardennen komt.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/b>16\/04 : DJ set by Pornographie Exclusive<\/span><\/b><\/h2><\/div>\n\n

Pornographie Exclusive is een in Brussel gebaseerd electro-rock\/dark wave-duo, gevormd door S\u00e9verine Cayron en J\u00e9r\u00f4me Vandewattyne (Spit\u2019n\u2019Split, The Belgian Wave). Hun muzikale universum, een mix van donkere romantiek, intense emotie en rauwe energie, werd onder meer geprezen door John Zorn. Ge\u00efnspireerd door hun debuutalbum One-Way Ticket to the Other Side ontstond een filmconcert in coproductie met actrice Deborah Kara Unger, dat werd voorgesteld in Montreal, Berlijn, Wenen, Londen en Brussel. <\/span><\/p>\n

Het duo is net terug uit Tokio en componeerde ook de originele soundtrack voor Kenichi Ugana’s Incomplete Chairs, gepresenteerd op het BIFFF, waar ze de release van de vinylplaat van de film zullen vieren met een dj-set voorafgaand aan de vertoning, in aanwezigheid van de regisseur.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/b>17\/04 : La Baronne Perch\u00e9e<\/span><\/b><\/h2><\/div>\n\n

La Baronne Perch\u00e9e, an oneiric and flamboyantly whimsical character from Cie Tiguidap.
According to the Baronne, Reality might one day become a dreadful flaw\u2026 unless, of course, we choose to take care of it.
Knowing this, centuries ago, the Baronne made a bold and committed decision: never to set foot on Earth again!
Oscillating between childlike imagination and gentle madness, this character, as baroque as her ideas, this stilt-walking character, communicative and highly visual, questioning the place that Humans still allow for Dreams and imagination.
Equipped with her marvelous \u201cReality Diving Suit\u201d, the sparkling Baronne waxes lyrical without restraint, scattering her rosy swirls wherever she goes.
Her best advice remains the simplest: Be Happy, H-A-DOUBLE P-Y! And as everyone knows, to live happily, we must live\u2026 perched!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
