Bum-Wook Hur

Hur Bum-Wook is een Koreaanse regisseur, geboren in Seoul in 1983. Hij ontdekte animatie dankzij de korte films van het ONF en werd in 2010 toegelaten tot het KAFA, waardoor hij zijn eerste korte film kon maken, CITY OF GOOD PEOPLE (2011). In 2014 maakte hij zijn eerste animatiefilm ON THE WHITE PLANET, waarmee hij de hoofdprijs won op het ‘Holland Animation Film Festival 2015’. Na GALAPAGOS (2019) komt hij in 2024 terug met PIG THAT SURVIVED FOOT-AND-MOUTH DISEASE, die in wereldpremière ging tijdens het Annecy International Animation Festival in de categorie Midnight Specials.
