Jean-Luc Herbulot

Jean-Luc Herbulot is delighting us to be returning for the 43rd edition of our festival. This Franco-Congolese director, screenwriter and producer first tried his hand at a few short films. His first feature film DEALER (2014) was presented at the BIFFF in 2015. It became a major hit at festivals and caught the eye of Hollywood, leading to his first American film: THE BENDS (2016). More recently, Jean-Luc directed JOUR DE COLÈRE (2024), which had its world premiere at our 42nd festival. After SALOUM (2021) in 2022, ZERO is already the fourth of his films to be screened at the BIFFF.
