Danny Boyle is a successful British director, producer and screenwriter. We are so happy to see him returning to our festival for the 3rd time. He made his name with his first two feature films, SHALLOW GRAVE (1994) and TRAINSPOTTING (1996), which put actor Ewan McGregor on the map. In 2000, he directed the adventure film THE BEACH, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. His films have won numerous nominations and awards, including the Oscar for Best Director in 2009 for SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE. That movie ended up winning 8 Oscars that year, including Best Picture. In 2010, he directed 127 HOURS, which was also a huge success, receiving a total of 125 nominations, including 6 Oscars and 3 Golden Globes.
