In this masterclass, we will map the journey of developing a genre short film into a completely independent feature. As a case study, we will explore the core elements of a successful short and break down the creative process, visual design and production strategies to make it evolve into the full feature film DEUS IRAE. DEUS IRAE (2024) is based on the 2010 horror short that took over the festival circuit with raving reviews. The Feature Project was showcased at the Marché Du Film, the BIF Market, the BIFAN, Ventana Sur and Sitges, where it took top honors as Winner of the Sitges Film Festival Pitchbox. The film was presented at the AFM, the European Film Market during the 2024 Edition of the Berlinale, and cannot wait to have its Premiere at the 42nd BIFFF!!!
