FOCUS FUTURE FRIGHTS

It is no longer a secret to anyone that our modern civilization is on the verge of collapse. Today all the economic, climatic, ideological and existential warning lights are flashing red. And this despite a deadly pandemic that should have restored some balance to the world order. Clearly, trouble loves company…. Of course, this global disorder is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for genre cinema.

But, through the filter of fiction, all these films also – and above all – represent a warning. You will see that in our focus “Future Frights,” the 7th art covers all the worrying aspects of this new – and perhaps final – century. And given the recent behavior of some “elected representatives of the people” in our supposedly civilized world and a public opinion that focuses more on raw emotion than actual fact, we want to make it clear that these titles are first and foremost warnings and not instruction manuals.
